Alla frutta! Varietà di stagione a Mercati Culturali Pordenone

“Alla frutta” is an Italian expression meaning “to be at the end of one’s rope” — that moment when you’ve run out of energy or ideas, and the only way forward is to return to the essence of creativity and imagination. These are days dedicated to creativity at MCP. From this feeling comes the need for Mercati Culturali Pordenone to go back to its roots and, for one day, once again become a place of exchange — with markets featuring artisans and artists, workshops for every taste, hot chocolate for the bold, and music for light-hearted souls.

10:00 – 11:00 | Scanography workshop
Scanography is a technique that uses a scanner to capture objects placed directly on the glass — flowers, fabrics, and various materials — transforming light and matter into images without the use of lenses or framing. In this workshop, inspired by the exhibition The Cosmic Prayer by Gak Yamada, participants will be free to explore the relationship between physical presence and the visual trace it leaves behind.

Workshop open to everyone.

10:00 – 11:00 | Collage workshop
Starting from old newspapers, each participant will be free to cut out, punch, and reassemble photographs, texts, and illustrations to give life to new imaginaries. The workshop becomes a space for visual experimentation in which the juxtaposition — even a random one — of images turns into a creative gesture, capable of generating unexpected combinations and new narratives.

11:00 | Live concert: I Pistacchi

I Pistacchi are a trio formed in Pordenone in 2018, consisting of Susanna Saccon (drums), Gabriele Rigo (keyboards and guitar), and Christian Magri (bass and guitar). Eclectic and constantly evolving, they explore improvisation and soundscapes without boundaries, searching for a free and liberating sound. Their music stems from the encounter of diverse influences—jazz, rock, funk, Latin, bossa nova, and ambient—blending and blurring genre definitions.

Throughout the day, in the spaces of MCP, the exhibitions “The Cosmic Prayer” by Gak Yamada, 𝗟’𝗔𝗥𝗟Ê𝗙 – 𝗪𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, and “What Cannot Be Held Still”, the exhibition resulting from Anna Adamo’s artist residency, will be open to visitors.
