An event to learn more about the FOTOHOF>CALLING project and discover the works of the 2024 edition, ahead of the next open call in 2026.
In 2021, FOTOHOF launched FOTOHOF>CALLING, a networking project designed to bring together the artistic photography community. As an association that brings together photographers and artists from across generations, FOTOHOF uses its platform to contribute to the debate on contemporary photography. The initiative offers a space where photographers, experts, and enthusiasts can meet, exchange ideas, and collaborate. Every two years, a jury composed of association members selects the participants, taking care to represent the photographic scene in its diversity: from emerging talents and projects still in development to established genres and trends.
For the 2024 edition, FOTOHOF has selected 26 projects from over 200 submissions from Italy and abroad, which will be presented on the website calling.fotohof.at and in the dedicated magazine. The selected works address pressing issues of our time, combining more traditional methods with experimental approaches that question, expand, and reinterpret the language of photography.
Photographers, curators, editors, and enthusiasts are invited to this event to discover the projects selected for FOTOHOF>CALLING 2024 and to learn more about the project ahead of the next open call, scheduled for 2026. Together with Anna Aicher, project coordinator, it will be possible to browse the magazine that brings together the 26 projects from the last edition, immersing oneself in a rich and varied selection: a collection that ranges from the most traditional works to the most experimental approaches, with works that address pressing issues of our time and redefine the language of contemporary photography.
