Matilde Benvenuti, also known as Blu, is a drummer, DJ, and producer currently based in Florence. After playing as a drummer in numerous bands within the Italian indie/rock scene, her strong need for self-expression and her constant pursuit of sound research and experimentation led her to embrace the art of DJing and electronic music production. Her sets, as well as her productions, are distinguished by an eclectic style and by the ability to create an immersive, dreamlike musical flow, with sounds ranging from ambient to IDM, from minimal deep to techno, with a strong preference for organic textures, driving grooves, and Afro and tribal influences.
